Mazda to add Apple CarPlay & Android Auto into Mazda 6 2018 in September. The existing users will also will be able to upgrade their infotainment system free of charge.
Mazda on the last Tuesday (31st of July, 2018) revealed of its first Apple CarPlay supported vehicle;Mazda 6 2018. It further said that September, the existing users of Mazda 6, 2018, will also be able to get Apple CarPlay and Android Auto at a zero cost.
This free upgrade will only be available for the ones who paid for the right trims. That means all trims like Touring, Grand Touring, Grand Touring reserve or signature option packages except sport trim will have the upgrade. In order to get your car upgrade, all you need to do is, contact Mazda dealership and make an appointment. According to Mazda, the upgrading process might take around two hours. And it will include a faster charging 2.1 amp USB port and a newer version of Mazda connect. And it is reported that from November, the same trims of Mazda6 will include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is becoming an famous and common in the need of many. This primarily allows car users to mirror their iPhones or Android Smartphone on the car’s inbuilt infotainment system. Hence the most of the users find it so easy to get directions to a place, make a call, text or even listen to songs or to the favorite radio program while driving. Simply because, it doesn’t demand your hands’ involvement even for a second. And it seems now, Mazda has appreciated the saying “Better late than never” by their move.
Mazda 6 2018, being the first car to have CarPlay and Android Auto, will give Mazda users a new experience for sure. Benz has already made it. BMW has made it now. So have many of the rest of the car makers too.
