Does CarPlay Support iPad?
By default CarPlay does not support ipad devices.

Can I use CarPlay with my iPad?
Yes there are two ways to use CarPlay on iPad. 

1. Converting the iPad screen into a CarPlay screen with InCar. 

2. Using the Ignition app [ Require Jailbreak ] 

Converting iPad into a CarPlay

This is possible with the InCar app and what you need to do is simply download the inCar app on your iPad. InCar app is compatible with any iPad and you need to install Carplayhacks app in order to install InCar App. 

Once you install the InCar app, you can use your favorite apps on CarPlay in the landscape view of your iPad. This is only a simulator and you can not connect the iPad to your car’s infotainment system.

Using Ignition app to use CarPlay on iPad

This is the most common and the most possible way to get CarPlay for iPad. For this method, your iPad should be running on an iOS of any version. Here you need to jailbreak your iPad first and then you can install the Ignition app. This app is previously referred to as CarPlay Activator.

Here are the steps for getting CarPlay for iPad:

1. Find a compatible jailbreak tool with your iOS version and jailbreak your iPad.

2. Install Cydia app

3. Open Cydia app and search “Ignition”

4. Click on the search result and install Ignition app on your iPad

5. Once installed click on Ignition logo

6. Then it will open CarPlay on your iPad screen.

Having Ignition installed, you will be able to enjoy Siri, Music , Maps and other apps easily while driving. Once you want to switch with your iPad menu, you just have to click on the Ignition icon and that is it.
